Founded in 2016, Alexandrian Solutions is headquartered in Singapore. A privately-held business, Alexandrian Solutions provide our clients research, business management, and business development services to help them design and tailor solutions to meet their customers’ needs. We provide advice to our clients to better understand the market and their customers, their unique requirements, and to craft solutions to meet and exceed those requirements. We help our clients formulate appropriate business strategy, consider viable strategic options, and derive and execute specific implementation plans. We help our clients stay relevant in a fast-changing environment. With a specialisation in the defence sector, Alexandrian Solutions offer opinion and advice on training, marketing, design and requirements of defence and training systems.

About the founder

COL (NS) Benedict Ang served 28 years in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). He held various command and staff appointments, and possesses extensive knowledge of military operational requirements, as well as of the defence aerospace industry.

COL(NS) Ang has a proven track record of senior leadership experience in strategic planning, policy setting, and decision-making, as well as management experience in human resource, intelligence, operations, logistics, capability development, training, and safety.

Trained as a fighter pilot, COL(NS) Ang is also a qualified Unmanned Aerial Vehicle pilot.

Under sponsorship from the RSAF, COL(NS) Ang graduated in 1996 from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (2nd Class Honours (Upper)).

In 2003, COL(NS) Ang attained a Master of Science (Strategic Studies) at the then-IDSS (Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies), Nanyang Technological University under an award from the SAF (the SAF Postgraduate Award), winning both the UOB Gold Medal (Most Outstanding Student) and the Tay Seoh Huah Book Prize (Best Dissertation).

In 2005, COL(NS) Ang was top Air Force graduand of the Singapore Command & Staff College, the premier military course for military officers to be appointed to command and leadership positions in the SAF.

In 2016, COL(NS) Ang attained an Executive MBA at Singapore Management University, sponsored under the SMU Warriors Scholarship program. He was awarded the Dean’s List as well as the Most Outstanding Student in his cohort.

​For his service and contribution to Singapore, COL(NS) Ang was awarded The State Commendation Medal (Military) in 2008; The State Long Service Medal (Military) in 2012; and The Public Administration Medal (Silver) (Military) in 2015.

COL(NS) Ang currently serves as Base Commander, Changi Air Base in his NS capacity.
